Chinese J-20 Mighty Dragon is a 5th generation stealth fighter jet powered by twin-engine. It is being developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group for the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF).

J-20 Mighty Dragon flew for the first time on 11th of January 2011 and it is likely to be ready for induction in the PLAAF by 2017 to 2018.

The J-20 Mighty Dragon is a typical 5th generation aircraft optimized for the stealth and is powered by twin-engine aircraft, it appears to be comparable the Russian Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA and US Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor.

Chinese fighter jets use a pair of all-moving tailfins and twin ventral stabilizing fins. J-20 uses a forward fuselage similar in shape to that of American best fighter jet F-22 and have DSI air intake along with one-piece frameless canopy.

  1. What I want to know is why are the technicians wearing uniforms with western logos? Who gave this technology to the chinese? Most of it was stolen, I'm sure, but some of it must have been sold to them.

  3. Who cares if the technology is stolen. Everyone is spying and/or stealing from anyone. Even the USA is not immune to that. The important point is finding out if it works exactly as expected.

It just happens that China has the means to acquire the technology by hook or by crook.

  4. The technicians are not wearing camofliged to fool you. If you do some research before you post you would know that AVIC is a company the develops aircraft for China. Much like Lockheed Martin does for the United States. It is noot a "western logo" as you put it. They are simply AVIC techniicians working on their aircraft. Not everything you see on the internet is a conspiracy.

  5. J-20 seems to be more accessible to public then any other project in Chinese aviation history. While we may not see official Chinese specifications or news, we have lots of footage and imagery to know about this aircraft

Despite many claims, J-20 is as original as Rafale fighter jet is for French. Initially Rafale was powered by General Electric F404-GE-400 afterburning turbofans and latter it shifted to the M-88.

J-20 is currently using modified WS-10G Taihang and Saturn AL-31 turbofan engines for testing and it will shift to the Shenyang WS-15 once it matures.

In terms of aerodynamics J-20 seems to be a completely original design despite few BS reports claiming otherwise.

  7. It is an absolutely un-original design in every way. Google JAST Program. Lockheed JAST designs. You will see this exact configuration was a US concept from the 90's. It was a program before JSF. Completely stolen.
