The German Air Force (Luftwaffe ) unveiled the Euro Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which will be able to stay in air for over day and half with multiple sensors. German Air Force is hopeful that Euro Hawk will be ready for deployment next year

Euro Hawk is a modified variant of the RQ-4B fitted with the European sensors including an EADS' SIGINT package to fulfill the requirements of the German Air Force which was looking for replacement of its Dassault-Breguet Atlantique electronic surveillance aircraft.

EuroHawk was unveiled on October 8, 2009 and it flew for the 1st time in June  last year. After completing its initial flight tests at Edwards Air Force Base, EuroHawk arrived in Germany after flying more than 10,000 kilometers (6,213 miles) in a 24 hour-long "hand-off" flight in July this year.

EuroHawk UAV can cruise at  altitudes of up to 18,288 meters  and has a range of 25,000 kilometers which means that it can fly to Tokyo from Berlin and come back without refueling or having to land.
